"More Variations" Pop Up with Pilgrim Surf + Supply & Beams Japan

We reunited with the Pilgrim Surf + Supply crew in Shibuya, Tokyo, for a pop-up and night run called, "More Variations," during our November trip to Japan. The pop-up also extended to the Beams Japan website. We're excited to say it was one of our most successful pop-ups to date! 

The Pilgrim team holds a special place for us as they've been supporters and partners of Minor Planet since our launch in 2023. It's an incredible crew of hikers, runners, cyclists, and surfers.

For our in -person activity, we got moving with a Nightmoves run alongside the Pilgrim crews in Tokyo and Kyoto. We kicked off with a box breathing exercise to synchronize our bodies and minds. After a series of full breaths, we were ready to run.

Energized, we hit the streets of Shibuya and made our way to Yoyogi Park. We were a crew all running in our reflective vests. Running together, sharing in health-focused activities, and embracing what we stand for, everyone moved as one through the park before heading back to the store. Back at the store, we wrapped up with fresh juices from Sunshine Juice to complete the experience.

While the Tokyo crew ran the Yoyogi Park loop, the Kyoto crew took on the iconic Kamo River (鴨川) with headlights and reflective vests. They even crossed the Eikawa stepping stones (夷川 飛び石) at night—what an adventurous group!

Connecting with like-minded people in Japan is always a highlight, and the Pilgrim Surf + Supply crew in Kyoto and Tokyo is truly one of the best. We can’t wait for the next meet-up!
